Worst Drive Ever

Mr. Hunt and I headed to Bluffton this weekend for the last time until the wedding. There was lots to do!
We left on Friday after work around 6:30pm. It had been raining all day, pretty badly, and there were flash flood warnings too. We thought about trying to just leave Saturday morning, but we had an appointment at 10am, so we would of had to leave at 5am to be safe. We decided against that.
The ride was good from home all the way down 77. We stopped at the gas station/burger king off Bluff Road in Columbia right before you get to 26.
All of the sudden on the ramp from 77 to 26 it was dead stopped traffic. It took us one hour to merge onto 26! I was angry! We still don't know what was causing it, there was no wreck and no obvious flooding or anything!
Then from there on, it was traffic, bumper to bumper driving, and down pours of rain where you could only see a few feet infront of you.
To make things worse, the dogs were scared and kept jumping over the back seat to get up front. It wouldn't have been as bad if they weren't sitting and squishing our bags. Then they annoy us because they can't get comfortable! At one point, River stepped on the button to roll the window down. He rolled it all the way down and almost fell out of the car! Rain was blowing in the car. I tried to get his foot off the button but it was very hard. When we yell at River, he usually freezes in his spot, so when I was yelling at him to get off the button and trying to lift his leg, he froze up which made it that much harder!

I was trying to sleep and she kept trying to get up front. Mr. Hunt thought it was funny and took pictures!

This is River sitting on the bags!

So, for a normal 3 1/2 hour drive it took us 5 1/2 hours, and somehow Hannah ended up in my lap the last 20 minutes! Mr. Hunt was in a bad mood when we finally got there.

On the way home, Hannah decided she liked being up front and got up front again! We are going to have to buy something that blocks them in back there because this is a bad habit they are learning. River stayed in the back like a good boy on the way home.

Oh geez...these fur babies!
