Loving Grandaddy

I'm sad to tell y'all that Mr. Hunt's Grandaddy has passed away. I'm so glad that I got to know and love him.

He was the first grandparent of both Mr. Hunt and I to pass away. We've never experienced this before. This was obviously really sad for all the family members, but I think it hit Mr. Hunt pretty badly. Like what most people do when a loved one has passed, he wondered what was the last thing he said to him was, but mainly he was upset that he never got to meet Jane. He was heartbroken.

I reassured him that he is now the luckiest great grandparent because he gets to see her every single day and watch her grow up. He HAS met her now, and he will be her guardian angel. Although we never got to see him smile at her or hold her, I know that he is watching over her.

With all heartbreak though, comes the love of Jesus Christ. He is truly the ONLY way to heal from anything. We know him and we are at peace that Grandaddy is now having a ball in heaven. With God there is no dieing, just eternal life with him and that's amazing.

With all that is going on in the world and even in the country (Boston bombing and Texas explosion), we can easily ask why and be scared. Yes, we are only human, we get scared. But do know that even if it seems like the world is falling apart right before us and there is no more good, or that everything that can possibly go wrong is.....know that God has everything under control. He really does. He knows all this is going to happen. Yes, most of the time its the Devil at work, but God is at war with the Devil 24/7 and we have to be on Gods side and ultimately God DOES win every time!

So when we are sad and selfish because we wont see Grandaddy here on the earth again, we need (and do) remember that we will see him in Heaven one day soon. All of our treasures are stored in Heaven and Grandaddy is certainly one of them.

Love,
Jennifer
