The Gamecocks just beat our arch rivals, Clemson for the 5th year in a row! This is a big deal people.
This is what we've been chanting for the past year and finally our thumbs get to stretch out!
Its not just a win against our rivals though, this game meant a lot more than that. Here are a few other reasons why this was a great win.....
- We have a 19 home game winning streak going on, that would have not been good if we messed that winning streak up with Clemson.
- Connor Shaw, our quarterback had never ever lost a home game in his career with us!
- Tahj Boyd, the enemy's quarterback has no never ever beat us! haha~
- This means there were 2 sets of students (last year seniors and this year seniors) who never ever had to loss to Clemson during their years in college
- This was Jane's first Clemson Carolina football game and we won! That means since she's been alive we've never lost Clemson! I know....its a stretch
- We have bragging rights for another year and each year we beat them in a row makes the bragging rights that much better
So that's that. We had a great time watching the game. We were a little sad afterwards when we found out that Missouri won which meant we don't get to go to the SEC championship game, but at least we beat Clemson. In the past years when we sucked, that's the only way the season would be worth it, if we beat them.
