Food Truck Fridays

We are loving our neighborhood more and more each day. We live RIGHT next to the park which is a big open grassy area good for playing soccer, running around, or having a picnic. There is also a playground there as well. Our neighborhood also has its own dog park (which we haven't gone to yet), two pools, and two pavilions (with their own playgrounds as well). In the future, there will be an elementary school, shops, and restaurants as well. SO, we need a golf cart to get around. 

Anyway, since we've lived here, they've had a fun Easter egg hunt in the park and now Food Truck Fridays. Food Truck Fridays are every other Friday during the summer. Food Trucks come and everyone in the neighborhood come, eat, play, listen to music, play games, and every once in a while there is a movie played on a big screen. Its a whole ton of fun. You an even bring your own cooler with drinks, beer, wine, and your own picnic. 

Jane is a fan of the King of Pops Popsicles. 

She always gets a lot of play time on the playground.

She didn't really understand the sack race.

This was her first time getting her face painted. She was kind of confused, but loved the flower when it was done.

Jackson just takes in the sights and sounds, or sleeps.

And when we are ready to go, its just a hop skip and a jump home.

Its so great to be able to do something fun as a family every other Friday, but not feel like we are doing something too big. I can't wait until next year when Jackson can join the fun too, and Jane may have more neighborhood friends too!
