Happy Halloween y'all!
We had a great night last night celebrating Jane's first Halloween. She spent the night being a dinosaur and loved it!
Here is the thing. Jane doesn't really LOVE anything yet to dress as. I guess we could have dressed her like the dogs because currently she is obsessed with them, but that all happened after we bought this costume.
Haha! She didn't want to keep the head piece on so this was after she tried to take it off and the chin strap was actually on her chin!
Mr. Hunt really wanted to dress her up like Si from Duck Dynasty, but after some thought we couldn't figure out how we would explain that when she asks us down the road what we dressed her as for her very first Halloween. Then we spent forever trying to decide what to dress her as. It really shouldn't have been so hard but it really was.
We finally saw this dinosaur costume on Target's website and both agreed that was it. Mainly because sit was only $20. Most costumes we both liked were somewhere between 50 and 60 dollars which we decided was way too much for her first Halloween.
We weren't planning on taking her trick or treating since she doesn't eat candy so the costume was just for pictures and to answer the door for other trick or treaters. So $20 seemed like a good price.
The next thing was that the size said 6-12 months. I was worried because Jane currently wears 12 month clothes and I didn't want it to be too small. Turns out it was WAY TOO BIG! You can tell in a few pictures above that the legs are so long. There is no way a 6 month old would fit in this.
Either way it was super cute and she really did like it. She couldn't walk or crawl very well in it so she actually didn't wear it for long.
She wore it for these pictures and then to Face Time her grandparents. Then it came off because she was getting so tangled in the hugeness.
My favorite part was when she crawled. She currently crawls on her hands and feet (not knees) so it looked like a real dinosaur. Plus the tail is just the cutest thing!
Look at that tail!
She doesn't ever sit still y'all. She is always on the go.
See how long the legs are here! haha!
Our little Reptar had a great night! After thinking she wouldn't have candy, guess who gave her some....Mr. Hunt! He let her have a Reese Cup. She shoved the entire thing in her mouth and we had to fish it out. After that we gave her a few pieces of it and she loved it of course. It my favorite as well.
We only had like 5 groups of kids. Our neighborhood doesn't have many kids. Now we have a TON of candy left and Im trying to lose the last 3 pounds of baby weight (yes, I still am not at my pre pregnancy weight) so the candy is going with Mr. Hunt to work.
Here is Jane crawling on video. She really does look like a dinosaur right?
Its also my Daddy's birthday today! We enjoyed Face Timing with them last night and telling him "Happy Birthday!"
Jane was so tired in that picture!
My Dad is such an awesome man. Seems like each year that goes by he gets better and better. I never took my parents for granted or anything, but man, they really do just keep getting better and I can see how much they love me more and more each and every day. Maybe its making it more apparent now that we have Jane and he is a Pappy. He loves her like he loves me. For that, I really hope that he has a wonderful day today (and everyday).
Happy Birthday Daddy/Pappy! We love you so so much!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween....now I kinda wanna put Christmas stuff out. Is that bad?
Love,
Jennifer
