Disney World! DAY 1

OK, its been a whole month since we were in Disney World, so much happened that I kept putting off blogging about it. If you want to see our daily videos of our travels, you can go to my youtube page at youtube.com/allaboutbeingmom 

BUT, Im still going to recap each day....briefly here! We had WAY TOO MUCH FUN! We cannot wait to go back with both kids......maybe next year. 

Jane did great on the long car ride. I think this is one of the longest rides she's had. What a trooper. I think the fact we were headed to Disney helped. 

Here we are in the bus on the way to Magic Kingdom on our first day. Jane smile says it all....but she really had NO CLUE what we were about to go do.

She brought her baby Belle that Cameron and Kendall brought her before we left.

I have a MILLION tips and tricks for Disney and one of them is the book bags. We had the big book bag on Mr. Hunt. We had EVERYTHING in there. It was ok if it was a little heavy because we also rented a stroller, so we could out it on there. We had snacks, princess dresses for Jane, water, cameras, etc. Then, we also had Jane's book bag with lots of distractions of long lines and walking. This was a lifesaver!

First thing was eating breakfast at Beasts house. It was called Be Our Guest. We thought we were going to see Belle or Beast, but we didn't, I think they only come for lunch or dinner.

Then we went to meet Tinker Bell! This was Jane's first time meeting anyone in Disney and she was so star struck! It was so cute. For real.....you'll have to see the videos!

Then we just randomly saw Snow White walking around and we followed her to a small line. Jane loved telling her about Tinker Bell!

Then we ate lunch in Cinderella's Castle. This was the BEST thing for meeting lots of princesses. We didn't have to stand in line to meet them, they came straight to our table while we ate lunch in air conditioning. It was awesome!

Before we sat down to eat, we met Cinderella. Jane changed into her Cinderella dress for this of course!

Then Snow White came!

I will say it was very hard for Jane to eat anything at lunch because she was so excited about all the princesses. BUT that's OK, it was vacation....and we had a lot of snacks!

Besides meeting all those princesses, we DID ride a few rides. Most of which I didn't get pictures because they were all kind of dark....but Jane loved all the rides.

Before day 1 was over, we had to go meet Mickey!

It was pretty hot, and NOTHING like it is in the summer time (so I definitely recommend going in the fall or spring). We skipped naps at her regular nap time so each day, she was VERY tired when leaving and usually fell asleep on the bus ride home. Oh, she LOVED the bus. She got to ride a bus and not wear a seat belt....it was amazing for her!

We brought her back to our room (which was Finding Nemo themed) and she slept for awhile. We ended up having to wake her up for dinner.

Every night we would go out to the pool, it was right outside our door for a swim. Jane loved it because they played music under the water and each night there was a movie playing as well. Also there was an awesome playground she loved playing on too. She stayed up WAY past her bedtime each night and got to sleep with Mommy and Daddy each night which was an awesome treat for her.

Jackson's 5 Month Update

Jackson is 5 months old already! Cant believe it!!

We left him for the first time when we went to Disney. He stayed with Mimi and Papa and he did great! Im glad he is such a good boy

He has been very observant this month. He is starting notice his surroundings. His favorite thing to look at is Jane. He can stare at her and watch her run around for hours. He loves laughing at her even when she's not doing anything funny. He also has noticed the TV and the dogs this month. He likes grabbing the dogs fur.

 On September 23, he rolled over from his back to his belly for the first time. Nobody saw it. One minute he was on his back, the next he was on his belly!

A few days later, September 27th, Daddy saw him roll! Then he did it about 4 more times in a row and Daddy caught it on camera for the vlog.
The next day September 28th I finally got to witness it!
The next day September 29th he rolled from his belly to his back, but nobody saw it!

 When he is doing tummy time, she moved all over the place and can turn to look in different directions.

He had his first virus this month. He acted totally normal expect he didn't want to eat and his poops weren't right. They were a different color and different texture. I took him into the doctor and they said it must just be a virus. A few days later, he started eating normally and is poop returned to normal a few days after that. Im just glad he didn't act sick other than that. 

He is started to show separation anxiety. Or maybe he just knows if he makes noise when we walk away, we will come back. Most times if he is bored and you walk away from him, he will start crying. Then when you walk back, he stops. He just wants someone to look at. 

He is a pro at putting his bottle in his mouth. He grabs it and puts it in. He oddest know how to tilt it back yet though so we still feed him.

He loves to sleep with his lovie on his face....same as Jane. He goes to sleep on his own without being rocked to sleep, and he sleeps most nights through the night. Some nights he still wakes up once or twice for the paci.

He had his first small diaper rash. Nothing major. It was when his poops were off. I put diaper rash cream on it and the next day it was gone.

He is starting to drop his third nap. He used to sleep for about 45 minutes and its been getting shorter and shorter. Now its about 15 minutes long, but he HAS to have it or he is a pill in the evening. That short 15 minutes really revives him. 

Jackson is getting a little too big for Jane to hold him on her lap!

He weights 15 pounds 14 ounces

She said "MOM! He is so heavy!"

Jackson,
You still remain the easiest baby. Thank you for that. You just love to go with the flow. Your tired while were out? Give you the paci and you'll take a little nap! You're hungry but were no where near a bottle yet? You wait and maybe fuss just a little. You wake up in the middle of the night for your paci? You talk to yourself and fuss just a little until we come up to give it to you. You are getting so big and we love that you are starting to interact with us. We LOVE you SO SO much! Your little smile is the best thing!

Jane's First Soccer Practice

Awhile back, we randomly bought Jane a small soccer ball while we were in Dicks Sporting Goods. I say randomly, but it was really because she didn't want to let it go after kicking it around the store. 

She turned out to be (what I thought) was really good at kicking the soccer ball, for a two year old, and she loved doing it. 

So I did some research on soccer around where we live, and there wasn't much for two year olds, but I did find a little "camp" that was help at our neighborhood park. It was super convenient and seemed like fun, so I signed her up. 

Im not sure what my expectations were for this (its just a small camp, no games or shin guards, or jerseys). She does ok. I think the problem is that the playground is RIGHT next to camp, so its very distracting. Also, she's two. I will say that she does better in dance than she does here. Maybe its because Im there. Have you heard that your kids are more likely to misbehave while you are in the room? Makes total sense to me.

Anyway, I almost quit. I didn't feel like paying for this if she wasn't going to like it or participate. Each week we go back though in hopes it will be different. Haven't seen any changes yet.

To end on a positive note, I think she might  be the best in the class (and she's the only girl) when she actually participates. She LOVES when the other kids and moms yell "go Jane go!" and she scores goals. She's also super fast and a great dribbler.
