Hey Y'all! Its been awhile. Yes, I know. Ive been pretty busy with some things that I will share with you soon. But I didn't want to forget to post about our 3 year anniversary.
On September 3rd, we celebrated our anniversary of three years. We cooked steak and potatoes and had a pretty normal evening. But the weekend before was when we really celebrated.
My parents and brother Davis came into town so that Mr. Hunt and I could go into downtown Charleston and explore. Since moving here, we haven't had a good chance to look around and experience much. Its hard to get out for long periods of time with a toddler who still needs a good afternoon nap to function.
So, we had lunch and walked around to shops on King Street. It was super hot outside so we checked into our hotel and like parents of a toddler would do, we ended up taking a nap. haha! The sound of napping without interruption sounded better at the time than going back out into the heat and walking around more.
After a quick nap we went back out and shopped around a little more before we headed to dinner. We ate dinner at a popular southern restaurant called Jestines Kitchen. It was super yummy. Then we headed back to get ready for our ghost tour.
The ghost tour was better than I imagined it would be. The stories were believable and kinda scary. We didn't have to walk all that far either and it had cooled off a bit. Once the ghost tour was over we headed to a dessert place. It was so busy that there was an hour wait. So we just got a few pieces of pie to go and brought it back to our hotel.
We watched some TV and went to sleep. Once again, without a toddler we still didn't do anything wild and crazy. We would rather catch up on sleep and relax.
The next mooring we slept in (which is also rare) and headed straight to an early lunch at the Tattooed Moose. It was on Diners Drive Ins and Dives and it didn't disappoint. It didn't open until 1130am and there was a line already forming at the door so we were glad we got there early.
After that we headed home to see Jane and hang out with our family a little bit before they had to head home. All in all it was great to be able to celebrate with Mr. Hunt, but not do anything super fancy or extravagant. We are grateful that we live close by to family now so they can come up and watch Jane easier. It was a treat for them as well because they love spending time with her.
Love
Jennifer
