Old Pictures!

Lets just say that last week was SUPER CRAZY. Jane and I got a stomach virus on Fathers Day. It was almost exactly 6 months after we got it last time. Then of course two days later (48 hours is what I found out from google is the length of time it takes someone to catch the virus after being exposed) Mr. Hunt got it. Before getting it 6 months ago, I can't even remember the last time I had a stomach bug, it had to of been when I was still living at home with my parents. Anyway, to make things worse, we were supposed to be leaving for a 3 day cruise that we have had planned since Christmas two days after Mr. Hunt got sick. So, since I was sick and then he was...there wasn't much packing (or anything for that matter) happening around the house. I usually like to have the entire house cleaned before I leave for vacation and it took all of me to only pack what we needed and get out of the house on time. I was hoping Mr. Hunt's virus would only be 24hrs long like Jane and I's and thank goodness it was. Then we dropped Jane off with Mimi and Papa and went on our vacation. It was very realizing and fun to spend time with my side of the family. You can check out my vacation video here on my YouTube channel.

So now that we are back, I'm trying to unpack and clean since I still feel like the virus is lingering in the house (probably just my imagination). But I came across these old photos not the computer and thought it would be fun to share.

This is our junior year in college at my apartment. We look so young!

Cant remember when this was but it was at my parents mountain house. We were on a hike.

This was the same mountain house trip I believe. We were on the boat.

Here is baby River. So cute! This was our senior year of college....or right after we graduated I think.

We were playing fetch at the tennis courts of our first apartment together.

Baby Hannah made it to the family. Look how little she looks!

Our Average Day

I love love love dressing Jane up in cute dresses and big bows. I really do. Since I'm a stay at home mom and we don't go out of the house everyday, I dress her up at any given chance.

BUT!!!!.....there are plenty of days when both Jane and I aren't really dressed at all. Lets face it moms, sometimes its easiest to put on an outfit that is easy to change a diaper in, or one you aren't afraid to get dirty. Jane has so many cute clothes, but I'm always afraid to put her in them because I don't want her to ruin them. I save those for church!

So, my favorite thing (and Mr. Hunt's favorite thing) these days are large t-shirts for Jane. Its great for the summer. Its cool if we go outside, its comfy for her, and its easy to change a diaper. We have three  shirts like that I we go through all three weekly. Of course if we are headed out of the house at all, I put shorts on her or change her outfit all together.

Also, bows get pulled out of her hair on the regular, so most of the time Jane looks like this....

I know I always take pictures while Jane is dressed super cute, but I figured Id share what she looks like on a normal day around here. Because lets face it, she's still super cute....

blowing her Daddy a kiss.

Jane's First Beach Trip

Kind of hard to think that Jane is 1.5 years old already and we JUST took her to the beach for the first time.

Since she was born in Texas, there wasnt a time when we took a beach trip last summer. We had a lot of trips back "home" but our agendas were always filled with weddings, showers, family occasions, and the beach never happened.

Now that we are back in SC, and specifically Charleston, the beach is only 20 minutes away and we will be going a lot Im sure. We need to make up from last summer too. This past weekend, we decided we should take her to the beach, but we drove to Beaufort for the weekend where Mr. Hunt's parents have a beach house.

In true Jane fashion, she had a BLAST and didn't sit still for more than a minute for a bite of a snack. When we first got there I hard all the intentions of getting everything (chars, tent) all set up like I usually do while Jane played in the sand, but that didn't happen. She took off for the water right away.   Good thing I put on her sunscreen before we even left the house.

She ran around with Mr. Hunt for a long long time. Non stop!

She was loving the water and would laugh every time I wave came.

Quick stop after I asked her to sit down so I could get a picture. This lasted 2 seconds maybe

If it were up to her, she would go all the way into the water by herself.

Then we tried to entice her to come back to our stuff and play with the sand. She did this for a little bit. We made sure she had some water, juice, a quick snack, and a top off of sunscreen. Then she was off again.

Had to get a  picture of sandy baby toes

Daddy thought this hat was better

She actually loves sun glasses and always wants to wear mine. Im glad I remembered hers

Then she realized she was wearing a hat and wanted it off pronto.

The beach trip was a success and we can't wait to go back. She's a Hunt/Taylor for sure.

Love,
Jennifer
