Im Gone

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to update to say that I am out of town and wont have any updates for a little bit. I am visiting my family in South Carolina and having all my family meet Jane for the first time (most of them). I had a few posts already done and ready to go, but I have run out now. Mr. Hunt has the laptop, so no more posts right now.

Trust me, I will have alot to update on when I get back on June 4th. For now, I'm just missing my husband. This is the longest we've been away from each other since we were married (12 days). I'm also missing my fur babies of course. I hope Mr. Hunt has the routine down since he hasn't had to be "in charge" of them for awhile.

See yall soon!

Jen

Birth-2 Month Video

Just like I have a problem with taking a million pictures of Jane, I also take a million videos. Instead of sharing each one, I decided to put clips of them all together in one big video. Here is the first one. It should be titled Jane birth to 2 months, not 1-2 months, but you get the point.

Seems like this was all just yesterday. But looking at these, I cant believe how big she is already.

Ill be back with the rest of the months soon.

Playing with Beansie

This little girl is loving playtime these days. She can't get enough and neither can Mr. Hunt or I. Baby smiles, giggles, kicking legs and flailing arms is truly awesome! ENJOY!

A Day in The Life of Me

When I was pregnant, I watched a lot of vlogs on pregnancy and motherhood. I think vlogging is cool, but too time consuming. I can hardly find time to blog something, let alone make a whole video while looking decent, editing it, and uploading it. Nope, not for me.

But one thing did catch my eye. Ive been wanting to write a post about my days. Since we are on a schedule, my weekdays are pretty much the same every day. I thought it would be cool to do a Day in the Life video instead of typing it all out.

I didn't realize this would be so long so its actually in three parts. Feel free to take your time watching them. Jane does some pretty cute stuff! And, if you were ever thinking of becoming a stay at home mom and think its just laying around being lazy all day, watch the videos and think again.

So thats basically my day in a nutshell. I love what I do!

Garden Update

So our garden that we planted in March has gotten a little out of control. Since we were new at this whole garden thing, we may have put too many plants in a small area. Looks like its overcrowded.

Our herbs are still in good shape. We haven't really used them though because we aren't used to having them there.

The peppers are no where to be found, neither are the okra. I think they were in shock and died.

The tomato plant is growing out of control, but there are no tomatoes in sight. Is there such thing as a tomato plant that doesn't have tomatoes? If so, that's what we have.

The squash and the zucchini are the ones that are out of control! We planted two or three of each when in reality we should have only planted one of each. We didn't realize how big and spread out they go. We havent seen any zucchini yet. They are kind of like the tomato plant. I keep thinking any day now that the zucchini will pop up.

The squash on the other hand is doing well. We have about 5 or 6 that need to be picked in a few days and looks like there is no end in sight with little ones popping up all over the plant. We did pick the first squash the other day. It was pretty big considering we grew it ourselves and the small area it had to grow.

You can see in the picture below that the garden is craziness! I'm not sure why I didn't take a picture of the whole garden, I was just so excited about our one squash I guess.

He is so proud!

Mr. Hunt sautéed it up and ate it. It was so good!

Sadly, we are starting to think that besides the herbs, and squash we have left to pick and that are on there way, the rest of the garden is done for. Its starting to get SO hot here in Austin already and if we forget to water it one day, the whole thing looks dead and sad. Keeping a garden is hard work. Obviously we can't start over now with less veggies, but we learned our lesson for next time. We will keep you updated though for sure.

Jane and Her Daddy

Jane loves spending time with her Daddy. Mostly I think she likes having someone else to look at besides me all day. She loves the way he does his hair with the spike thing in the front. She always tries to grab it.

Daddy and Jane watching TV

Mr. Hunt feeds her the last bottle before bed everynight. This usually means that she falls asleep on him too.

Its one of his favorite times.

Do they not look exactly alike!?

Now that she is getting bigger and wanting to explore and move around, its harder at restaurants to keep her in her car seat. Mr. Hunt usually takes her out and lets her sit on his lap. She loves it.

Talking...

Giving kisses

The chin holding is killing me

Be still my heart

I could watch these two interact all day. Its one thing that will melt my heart every single time.

Getting into Trouble

A close friend told us about this playnest. Jane loves to sit up and look around but she cant quite sit up on her own. She has the bumbo too, but this gives us some options so she doesn't get bored.

Here she is when I first put her in it. Chillin'

Then I walked away and she must have got bored with all the toys I put in there with her. I looked over from the kitchen and saw this....

"hmmmm that swing looks kinda cool from the bottom"

"maybe I can see what it feels like"

"oh yeah, this is fun"

"I'm glad this is put together correctly"

I guess I really have to watch her in this thing so that she doesn't flip out. This is her face after I corrected her. Little ham

I love this girl!

5 Months Old

Gone are the days when this little will sit for her monthly photo shoot. This shoot took twice as long and she was all over the place! Leaning forward, squirming and sprawling out on the chair, and messing with Teddy so I cant see her face. I'm starting to regret doing these on a rocking chair. I kept thinking she was going to rock out of it.

Anyway, back to business. This little girl's personality has really come out this month, and she may be a little spoiled. We've got to do something about some of her habits before they get out of hand.

But how can you not spoil this little face?

At 17 weeks we transitioned to sitting in the stroller like a big girl instead of putting the car seat on it. She loves not being so strapped in and looking forward. She still may be a little small for it, but I'm not running or anything quite yet, so I'm not worried about her falling out.

She had her first poopy blowout where it actually leaked all over me. Mr. Hunt couldn't stop laughing and thought it was the funniest thing, until I made him help me clean up. It was pretty gross, but It was bound to happen sometime right?

Look at this girl sitting by herself!

On April 20th, she tried her first solid (pureed) food. It was rice cereal. It took a few times to get used to the texture and the spoon, but then she loved it. Now at the end of this month, she eats rice cereal, sweet potatoes, and bananas. Bananas are her number one favorite right now. She cant get enough. She is a pro eater now.

Nana came to visit when she was 18 weeks old to watch her while Mr. Hunt and I went to Maui for 5 days. It was hard for me to leave, but I knew she was in good hands. Jane and Nana spent alot of time together playing, walking around the neighborhood, and taking pictures. Towards the end of the week Mimi and Pawpaw came to take over for a day. It was nice to see them again too.

She chews on her fingers all the time. We went to the doctor and she confirmed that her first two teeth on the bottom are on their way. She also still drools everywhere. Sometimes we have to change outfits in the middle of the day just because she has soaked her shirt.

She also likes to try to put everything in her mouth. Even Rivers ears. Yuck! She grabs at our faces and gives us "kisses" which is just her trying to put any part of our face in her mouth. We just say its kisses.

Little Miss wanted to pose like a model on this next picture.

Then she decided she didn't want her bow. High maintenance?

Then she threw it. Really high maintenance?

On May 7th, she held her own bottle for a few seconds. She usually holds our hand which is holding the bottle so I think she could probably hold her own bottle for real if we tried. But we aren't in any hurry.

At 20 weeks old she found her feet and toes. Now she holds on to and plays with them all the time. So cute.

On May 10th, I looked at the video monitor that morning and she had rolled to her belly. Since then we have had to not swaddle any arms and she rolls to her belly sometimes, but mainly likes to sleep on her side now.

We had one horrible night (I wrote a post about it) where she was up all night rolling and not getting comfortable. I think it was mainly teething though poor thing.

She is a pro roller now from her back to her belly. She has stopped rolling from her belly to her back which is weird because apparently that's the easier way to roll. Instead she just screams when shes on her belly and wants to be on her back until we help her back over.

I'm pretty sure she has dropped her third nap. She refuses to go to sleep when I put her in her crib. But she still gets a little cranky during that time like she is tired. It might just be a few days or weeks for her to get used to not sleeping during that time and stretching out the other two naps.

You can see here that her hair is growing so much!

This last week she has slept through the night without waking at all of the paci. I'm not sure if its the teething or what, but she doesn't seem to really want her paci too much anymore. Maybe that's a good thing? We will see. It might be that the paci is too small and she needs the next size, but she doesn't seem angry or fussy without it. She will still take it sometimes though. I kind of always relied on it as a backup if she was freaking out, so we will see.

These next two pictures she was sneezing! haha!

AHHHHHHHH

CHOOOOOOOO

She weighs 15 pounds 9 ounces. Exactly 8 pounds heavier than when she was born. Getting so big!

Always reaching for the camera these days. She reaches for everything, including daddy's beers!

This is when she was so over the photo shoot. This isn't coincidence people, she really does have an attitude sometimes.

She has shown even more interest in the puppies. She pets them all the time and watches them if they are anywhere near her. She really loves them.

Just yesterday she sat in a highchair at a restaurant. It was a little big and she kept sliding down to one side, but it worked while I fed her. For now, if we don't have to feed her too we will keep her in the car seat.

Yep, photo shoot over. This girl was so over it, she threw her body forward in a fit.

Baby Jane,
You are getting so big. You are so alert and we can tell you are soaking up so much information. You know how to get our attention and you aren't afraid to tell us when you aren't happy. We do love the little personality that you have and we cant wait to see how it keeps coming out. We love you so much and you make us the happiest parents around.

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
