**SNOW**

Today was the first day it snowed in Charlotte since I moved here in May. Well it started to snow yesterday evening but when we woke up this morning there was so much snow we couldn't even see the ground. It snowed about 4 inches total. If you think that is not alot, let me tell you all my snow experiences in life.

1. When is was three it snowed 7 or 8 inches in Hilton Head, but I don't remember. It never snows in Hilton Head. My mom had to put plastic bags on my shoes because she didn't have any snow shoes for me.
2. My family and I went to Ohio for Christmas one year. I was hoping it would snow alot but it didn't. It snowed but only a little and you could still see the grass.
3. Ive been skiing once in high school but that snow was made by a machine.
4. This past Christmas when I went to the mountain house, there was snow on the ground but I didn't see it coming down. By the time I got there, it was mainly ice, but still the most I have ever seen.
5. yesterday and today!
I think I will be seeing snow more often now that I live up here. I like snow but only when I am looking at it from inside where I am warm. I don't like being cold.

River hates when it rains. For some reason he doesn't like walking in the wet grass. He absolutely loves water and swimming, but only goes out in the rain when he has to go bad. Knowing he doesn't like the rain, we assumed he wouldn't like the snow but he loves it. River and Hannah sprint around the yard and roll in the snow. We took them on a walk today in the snow and let them play in the back yard. They loved it!

We decided to go on an adventure out into the snow tonight and go to one of the restaurants that was participating in Restaurant Week. Restaurant Week is where a bunch of the nicer restaurants in Charlotte offer a three course meal for $30 per person. We went to Brio Tuscan Grille tonight with Michael and Rachel. It started to snow again while we were eating. Dinner was good and it was nice to catch up with them.
Two things that I didn't like about the snow today
1. Trying to scrap the ice off the car without an ice scraper so we could see to drive. (Chris did most of it)
2. We didn't get to go see our house today like we wanted. I hope the snow doesn't slow them down too much.

Charlotte Gamecock Club

Yesterday, Chris and I got voted and elected to be on the board of directors for the Charlotte Gamecock Club. Its actually a funny story how this came about. Our mutual friend Billy called us yesterday after work and asked if we would come by and vote for him to be on the board of directors for the Charlotte Gamecock Club. Since it was taking place at a sports bar and not thinking anything about it, Chris and I jumped into our Jeans and Tshirts and rushed over there to give our good friend some support. When we arrived there was about 15 older men dressed in their Sunday best sitting around a table. Billy was the only "young" kid around. I was a little intimidated because I looked like I just rolled out of bed. We introduced ourselves, made name tags and sat down with everyone. The meeting started by voting for the new president, vice president, secretary, and treasure. The time came when we were going to vote for Billy to be one of 10 board members. We voted for him and a few others there. Come to find out there were a few more spots available for board members. All of the sudden everyone looked at us and said "we need young people on the board. Do you want to be board members?" And that's how we became board members of the Charlotte Gamecock Club (we had to join first too). I'm excited to see what comes of our two year term and all the activities we will be involved with. Ill let you know how this goes.

We beat #1

On this past Tuesday night, the Gamecock men's basketball team beat the #1 team in the nation, the Kentucky Wildcats. Chris was going to go to the game, but since it was in Columbia and he had to work the next day, he couldn't make it. Good thing he didn't go because the game didn't end until around 11:30pm and after a win like that he would have wanted to go out and celebrate. We were watching the game on and off all night and the game was pretty close the whole time. When the game was coming to an end Chris was going CRAZY. Ive never seen him do some of the dance moves he busted out that night (I thought I had seen them all) and he was making the gamecock crowing noise too which was hilarious. I was watching him more than the game at some points. It made me smile to see him soooo excited. I was excited too of course, but too tired to dance around like he was. I also don't watch basketball too much ( I watch all football) so I wasn't sure of some of the rules and couldn't get into it because half the time I didn't know what was going on. Anyway, I'm just happy we won. We have never beat the #1 team in the nation!!! I wish they would have done that when I was in school and on the dance team. That would have been amazing.

I'm proud to be a gamecock everyday, but I am especially proud now after that game.

GO GAMECOCKS!!!
